YWCA Cass Clay

Description:

Emergency shelter for homeless women and children. Shelter residents are able to work with case managers, education and employment coordinators, parent education specialists, shelter faith community nurse, outreach services, and shelter children's services. A donation and volunteer coordinator is on site and works with all community volunteers. A food pantry is available to the outside community Monday through Friday. Must order 24 hours in advance. Pickup times are 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Transitional housing and permanent supportive housing is available. A Child's World Childcare Center is a public child care facility. Fees are charged for the child care center as any other public center would charge. There are office hours at the shelter, but services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. charge.
